Jimi mentioned playing with Chuck Jackson in a few interviews, but it's not quite clear whether he meant that he played behind Chuck Jackson or just was on the same package tour with him:
"So then I quit, I quit them [the Isley Brothers] in Nashville somewhere. And eh, ??? this guy, he was on a tour with B.B.King, Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke, and all these people Chuck Jackson. So I played, eh, I was playing guitar behind a lot of the acts on the tour." 1
