Earlyhendrix.com is a non-profit website the purpose of which is to collect information about the pre-fame career of Jimi Hendrix ie the years he spent as a backing musician before the formation of The Jimi Hendrix Experience in October 1966.

There is much misinformation going around about this phase of Hendrix's career, and the thousands of semi-official releases containing some of the early recordings that have appeared in the last 30+ years have confused matters big time. So the aim is to present clear & correct information about the recordings that feature Hendrix, and the artist that he played with.
